reading a friend's blog

Tuesday, May 25, 2010

reiko translated the latest entry on yuka's blog for me, and this entry left me with a deep impression. she said that she brought 3 pair of chopsticks to montreal to give to people who helped her the most, and at first, she thought that it would be difficult to even find anyone to give to, but now that's she's leaving, she realised that even 100 pairs will not be enough. lol.

after staying in montreal for so long, she started to forget all the minor differences in japan, such as the hand straps in tokyo's metro(the things that we held onto in the metro, somehow montreal metro doesn't have it), and she's definitely going to forget many things in montreal. she felt so sad after realising this, and she told herself that she will never forget all the nice people she met here, and someone should shoot her if she does. and she will be content if people can simply remember her as the Japanese girl addicted to chocolates.

    Hey!

I've been reading your blog and your experience reminds me of my own a lot. I've lived in Ottawa before attending McGill, it's a boring city compared to Montreal and Toronto. Ever since I left for France, I've been missing it... Are you thinking of staying in Canada?
