8 months have passed, and two semesters are over.

Sunday, May 16, 2010

8 months have passed so quickly, and I finished two semesters of school. Actually, I am forcing myself to write this entry. After neglecting this blog for so long, I really have no intention of continuing to blog at first, but then I promised winghang that I will blog after my exams, and so here I go.

Too many things have happened , and I don't know how to start actually. Anyway, I'm in Ottawa now, it's the capital of Canada, but it's just plain boring. The worst thing is that there's no metro(subway) system here, so I have to take buses every where I go. Waiting time for buses is long, and my house is not near downtown too. So I become lazy to go out after work. Oh, I'm doing my internship with IBM Cognos Lab there. I was so busy last semester, applying for internships, going for interviews, and studying, doing research, and also had a lot of fun ! I started learning ice-skating, I can more or less ice-skate now, but i think i would forget everything after the summer break. haha . Also, working life is good so far, and the attire is flexible, which means I don't have to iron my shirts so often because I can wear casual attire. Lol.

Throughout the 8 months, beside gaining academic knowledge, I have also made good friends with international students. Sad that some of them are returning home, and I may not be able to see them again. Moving to a new place, making new friends, settling down, and then leaving again, saying goodbye. Not the first time that I am doing this, but it's still not easy. But now, I know that what's more important is to be sincere and nice to each other, and friendships will naturally grow. And it's always better to be very sad that your friends are leaving because it means you really treasure your friendship with them.

-to be continued-
